Bring Food Home is Ontario’s biennial conference connecting those individuals and organizations who are working towards a sustainable food system. Join us in transforming the future of food.
The conference will be held in Peterborough, ON October 27, 28, 29. Workshops and plenaries will be at Trent University with tours and speaking events throughout Peterborough and the Kawartha region.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
This lively three day conference will include dynamic keynote speakers, panels, hands-on workshops, inspiring presentations, and action planning sessions. In addition to the main conference, there will be a celebratory banquet on the second night of the conference. There will be a trade show throughout the entire conference, as well as networking spaces. The conference menu will showcase healthy and local foods.
"LET'S TALK ABOUT FOOD":
On the evening of Thursday, October 27th please join the Bring Food Home Conference for an engaging keynote discussion between community food security expert Mark Winne, Jeanette Longfield of Sustain UK and indigenous community food organizer and academic Dawn Morrison -- as moderated by broadcaster and lecturer Jon Steinman. Doors will open at 6pm and the event will get underway at 7pm sharp. This event will be open to the public with tickets selling for only $12 plus applicable taxes, with a special rate of only $5 for students and seniors.
